Villa Chiara

Villa Chiara is simply the home of a travel, archaeology, nature, and art-loving family for several generations.

Guests have access to two rooms: the Blue Room and the Red Room. The Red Room is furnished with antique family furniture (one of which is available to guests), a double bed, a comfortable armchair, and two windows. It is possible to add a third bed without sacrificing the comfort of the room. The bathroom is private and equipped with a spacious shower. As for the Blue Room, the furnishings consist of restored antique furniture. The room has a double bed, a kitchenette (fridge, two electric hotplates, extractor fan, pots, and dishes). The bathroom is external, private, and very spacious.

Despite being surrounded by greenery and offering a splendid view of the countryside up to Lake Trasimeno and the city of Cortona, the property is only a few meters away from the restricted traffic area. In just 2 minutes on foot, you can reach Porta al Prato, which allows access to the lower part of the historic center, characterized by magnificent Renaissance palaces, typical restaurants, and shops. The same amount of time is sufficient to reach the center through the Porta di Gozzano, reaching the middle of the main street that leads to the beautiful Piazza Grande. Just one minute on foot separates the property from the Poggiofanti garden, the supermarket, the bus station (which connects to the Chiusi train station), the Thursday market square, and the elevator to the center.

Guests can park in front of the property in the last free parking lot before the Historic Center, which is closed to traffic. Cyclists and motorcyclists can leave their vehicles in the garden.

For those who prefer it, from the nearby bus station, you can quickly reach Piazza Grande, located in the upper part of the town, using urban minibusses.

To read a book outdoors or to smoke, there is a terrace available on the floor of the rooms with a splendid panoramic view. Alternatively, you can go down to the backyard garden.

We are also animal lovers, and therefore, they are welcome (please inform us in advance if you have your four-legged friend with you): please note that there are three cats permanently living here, so if you have allergies, please take the necessary precautions.

Thanks to its strategic location, Villa Chiara is an excellent starting point for car excursions in the surrounding areas (for example, Pienza and Val d'Orcia are only 20 minutes away) and, at the same time, allows for easy visits to the city of Montepulciano and its restaurants on foot for dinner.

For workers or students who wish to stay long-term in Montepulciano, special prices are available based on the duration and terms of the stay.

Villa Chiara would like to specify that the soaps used are all eco-friendly and provided in dispensers, and that the paper, plastic, and glass left by guests are collected and disposed of separately.
